| Paul Warren Owner |
From 1998 to 2002, I worked at Ferrari of Washington. I started out as a shop grunt then, within 6 months, advanced to working on vintage racecars, and SCCA cars. These cars included the 1961 250 GTO SWB, 1966 275 GTB 2cam, 1964 250 LM, 1969 365 GTB4 #64, 1979 BB 512 LM, 1995 355 challenge, and the 1997 333SP #33. Travelling around the country to support these cars at some of the most famous and historically renowned race tracks, I had a blast. This really laid the foundation for my appreciation of vintage cars with the remarkable agility and competitive power they had in their day. I even had the opportunity to sit in on some factory training sessions. This was the true spark that ignited my passion for vintage cars.
Then, through January 2007, I called Cantab Motors/Capitol Motorcars my home. I was hired as a mechanic and worked my way to shop foreman then general manager. This gave me many opportunities to work directly with customers, and helped me fine-tune my skills with British cars. I also worked out a merger of sorts with local legend Philip Middleton. I worked closely with Philip, learning all the things he had learned over the years, further honing my skills with British cars. Philip’s shop was also a Morgan dealership, and I was sent to Malvern, England for training by the Morgan Motor Company factory to service this amazing British auto manufacturer’s cars. It was an experience I will never forget. Philip Middleton had long been in business until the county re-zoned the property where his shop stood. When Philip’s company came up for sale, I realized it was time to take a chance and go into business for myself. In February 2007 I became the proud owner and operator of British and Classic Car Doctors. When not at the shop there is little or no chance you will find me, all of my time is spent doing things out and about. Either in DC watching a concert of a favorite band, or in southwestern Virginia river fishing, or organizing and participating in club events with the local car clubs. There is really no limit to the things I have done and the things I am going to do, it is all just a matter of finding the free time to do them. I really feel I am blessed with having some of the. finest people both working with me and as customers! Our mission: To provide fair and knowledgeable services to our customers in keeping their fine British and other classic automobiles on the road. |
